When enduring the struggle first hand. I am also
able to use some of the strategies from my personal
Mandarin Courses and apply them during my
teaching practices.

The curriculum is designed to align with
students' normal humanities topics as much as
possible. This way students have a chance to develop
deeper concepts in all areas. I think team teaching

has been very beneficial for students because all of
my classes are mixed levels. Due to the fact that my
classes have all mixed level students, I find it very
effective when the homeroom teacher can help with
some translations. Homeroom teacher support is Some benefits to team teaching
especially important in the beginning of the school are that the higher level students
year. This is the prime time when students are still strengthen their skills and the less able

adjusting to a new foreign face who is providing new students can learn through observation
concepts in a new language. and further peer/teacher interaction
outside of their normal teaching
methods. Students can see both
teachers working well together while

gaining more respect and personal
bonds. Many teachers get involved in
projects and have fun doing so. They
know their students better than me and
this can be invaluable when students
make the choice to learn.

However, most teachers have
different teaching styles. I think it is
important for students to experience
the different cultural teaching styles.
